NC Firebug's goal is to visit your local fire department. It wants its picture taken in front of the station, at as many stations as possible. Post your images, please. Attach any mementos (key chains, patches, etc.) along the way.

About This Item

NC Firebug

The intention of this bug is to bring awareness to your local fire protection agency. Most departments love the opportunity for public relations and will welcome you and your questions. Bring the kids along to meet the firefighters. There is alot that they can learn about fire prevention. Perhaps you will learn a thing or two yourselves! Find out if they are paid or volunteer. Ask how much training it takes to do what they do. Check out the equipment. You may be surprised to find out that the station that is responsible for your fire protection is not actually the one you think it is. Most of all... HAVE FUN!

This travelbug/firetruck has gone missing and is no longer at this site. Maybe he is out looking for fires on his own. Hope he has digital radios while in Chesterfield County as he won't be able to receive the dispatches without one.
