Current Goal

Honu Hitch-Hiker has many places that he wants to visit. He doesn't care where he goes, as long as he goes. He is interested in "hitching" rides to as many caches as he can. He would like to visit with cachers from all over the world and then he would like to get moving along to find his next adventure. Photos are always nice and much appreciated to receive back home.

About This Item

Honu Hitch-Hiker

Honu is the Hawaiian word for Turtle. This little guy is an aluminum Honu hitch cover for our geo-mobile. While out caching in the desert recently, following a maniac around trying to find some caches, honu was accidently removed from our hitch, while trying to navigate our way through a ditch! OUCH!!! While we thought we could repair him and put him back in his place of honor, he was beyond repair, so he is now our latest and greatest travel bug. His tag is riveted on his back as well as his name and owners name. Please share his bug number: TBNC95 when recording in logs, not his bug ID number. We have had several bugs stolen from cachers logging in the wrong number! Thanks for your help with Honu!

I was a muggle mom going on my first geocache hunt on July 15, 2006 where we found Honu Hula Hiker. He has been so long in Georgia, we decided he needed to move onto South Carolina. On July 16th my friends grandson was instructed to keep him safe while we travled at speed much faster than a turtles pace to Columbia SC. We will find a good home for him while he visits in hopes he will move onto cooler climate.
