Current Goal

This shiny metal map has plenty of places it wants to go. If your city is on it, it wants to visit! If your city isn't, well it still wants to go there! Feel free to attach momentos of its travels on the rings or slots.

About This Item

This bug may look like a coaster, but its not. This metal map was once a zig-zag puzzle with the attached car as the playing piece. It was a lousy puzzle, but makes a great travel bug! Keep it in the USA please and its long-term goal is to go to every city stamped into it.

At this time Coast to Coaster TB is MIA. Coast to Coaster was placed by me in Above the Horses 6/9/04 with lid of cache closed tight and cache left secure and cammo'd. Per Darwiner's post of 6/27, I returned to the cache site for my own curiosity and found the same--no Coast to Coaster TB anywhere. Here's hoping a cacher has it and neglected to make entry in the cache log. If such person(s) ckecks in on this TB, please log in departure from Above the Horses and/or where it is now.

Visited "Above the Horses" cache on June 27, and there was no sign of the Coast to Coaster TB. It seems that no one had visited the cache since the TB was dropped off on 6/9. (There was no log in the log book or a note on the site.) I hope someone logs that they picked up the TB in the next few days...

We had planned on dropping this bug off in the Redwoods, but after reading the logs it looks like too many TBs go missing up there so this one made a round trip.

We added a Eureka, CA keychain depicting the famous Samoa Cookhouse, which is a cookhouse established in the late 1800s and still open for business.

Coast to Coaster has joined us on our trip thru the Redwoods. This looks like an old homestead that was swallowed up when Highway 101 was widened.
