The hint from R+ only confused me further. Mumu mentioned in passing what the first word was and I was off to the races. Always fun to solve via frequency analysis.

Very aggravating that the cache map refused to load on the geocaching app but, between a very explicit hint and the geomap on geocaching.com, I was able to navigate to a quick find.

Naturally the geocaching app does not load the caches after I ride the subway all the way down to Prospect Park. Luckily my research made this a fast find.

I don't mind quirky challenges like this. They are better than the ones that require astronomical numbers for a rare attribute. And I thought there is a guideline for challenge caches that at least a certain portion of the local geocaching community would qualify for the proposed challenge cache. The finds on most of these are few and far between which tells me that the guidelines are just that, guidelines.

Apparently those Earthcaches are finally paying off - admired the rock covering the cache as it had mica chips and quartz.

Torture by tedium. Waterboarding is for amateurs. The Geneva Convention may need to look into this type of puzzle.

This preserve is like Birder Nirvana. I'm not a birder and I was spotting the buggers right and left. One day, I may even know what I'm looking at/hearing.
