I parked on Argyle, at the south side of this very nice park with my spouse, a grand daughter, and a grand son, on our way to a birthday party for a one year old great niece. We had plenty of time, so we walked over to this spot and found the cache quickly. Thanks for placing it.
We DNF'd the one over the bridge and down the street. Can't find 'em all.
The party was very nice, despite the heat and humidity.

Back in the loop again, this time dropping off a g-kid for a recording session with her Girls Rock group, The Belladonnas. From there we walked around the corner to hopefully make amends for our DNF here last month.

Thought I had our entry all planned, but when we finally found an open door we felt we were back in the twilight zone. So again we took the elevator up, and then walked down to the likely level. Our estimated distance took us to the same area we visited before. Got my hands dirty checking our estimated GZ, but no luck. Then my spouse projected a beam of light from her phone inside the suspect host, and …..there it is! Found it! Signed both log sheets. Our only regret, there were no tunes. Fav point anyway, TFTC!

  • you can put it on the board... DNF avenged!

What a beautiful lobby and awesome art... and history. Been by this building quite a few times, and never been inside. Thanks for drawing it to our attention.
No plans to find the cache today. We went inside to take photos of all the busts, so we could hopefully solve the puzzle at home.

I needed a paper to read on the train going home. But it was empty! Well, not totally empty. There was a cache in it, just waiting to be signed.
Thanks. I hid it a little better than I found it, from the middle to the front. Thanks for the quick cache.

Enjoyed walking around the Northwestern campus on a delightfully cool summer day. And then we made it to "The Gates". After a short search I had the cache in hand. Thanks for bringing us here.

We took the Red Line here this morning, and after a visit to Holy Name Cathedral we walked over here to the Old Water Tower for this earthcache. In doing so we got up close and personal with the famous landmark, and recorded our geologicache answers from our observations. What cool refreshing weather we had this morning! All of this adds up to a fav point. TFTEC!

Visited 7/13/2018 sunnyside7 took it to 10 Years! - Sweet Home Chicago Illinois - 1.11 miles  Visit Log

Bringing Grandchild #3 to the loop every weekday for two weeks for art classes. Today was Friday (the 13th) of the first week. We only ended up here because we made a couple mistakes getting on trains going the wrong way, one on the EL and one on the Red Line.
This brought back fond memories of this cache, finally finding it three years ago, after a couple of DNFs.

  • it's still there... found it 3 years ago
  • something looks different here

-Friday the 13th- DNF #999
It's been more than four years since I first looked for this cache. Here I am again, and this time I brought a homemade magnet extension, but I didn't get to use it. DNF, again!😟
I'm pretty confident in my corrected coordinates. I'll be back in the loop next week, maybe I'll make my way over here, and try again. Third time's the charm?

  • waiting patiently... while I'm getting my hands dirty
  • we don't want to go there
