Down visiting Mom in Nipomo, CA with the rest of the family (Kelly and the kids - Hannah (9), Seth (8), Caleb (5), and Chloe (2)) over Christmas break. Got there on the night of the 27th, and now returning home to Seattle.
We visited the Madonna Inn earlier - on the 29th - so the kids could see it all decked out inside for Christmas; I took the boys to the famous waterfall urinal, too! I noted that there was a geocache nearby for travel bugs, but we wanted to get to Avila Beach, and I'd left a bug we'd brought with us at Mom's house, so I told the wife that we'd have to stop by here on the drive home. And so we did!
There were, I think, 34 (!) trackables inside this cache! We copied down numbers, and left a bug we'd retrieved in the Seattle area. Given that there were no limitations, we let each kid pick a bug to take with us, and I picked a trackable, too. This is one the kids (Seth, actually) chose for me; you can guess why!
Will have to find a spot for it in Washington!
