The first cache of our trip to Kauai was a real adventure, involving wading a stream, walking along a beach, and bushwhacking through Hawaiian scrub to find a cache under an ironwood tree a few hundred feet from the Pacific Ocean. Seemed like a cache deserving a visit by a BSA geocoin where it could wait for the next adventurer.

I found BSA 100 in a cache next to a busy thoroughfare in Santa Clara, California. As it happens, I fly to Hawaii tomorrow, so I'll take this to visit paradise for a while.

My Dad was a scout and scouting leader from the 1930's up until his death in 2005, earning the Silver Beaver award shortly before his passing. I look forward to carrying this coin back to the SF Bay Area and releasing it there.
