merlins from valencia ca. picked the little guy up in the ventura harbor, not venture. looks like the americans can move a bug faster than the english chaps. we were birding in the harbor and nearby treatment ponds. ernest are you a turtle? old joke pulled by pilots. the weather was absolutely clear and 70 degrees and just south of the major fire the wasn't burning anymore.

WE DROPPED OFF CHESTER, HORSIN AROUND AND PICKED UP THE TURTLE. MY WIFE LIKES TURLTES BUT WE WILL GET HIM HEADED SOUTH ON THE I-5 CORRIDOR EARL NEXT WEEK ON HIS QUEST TO MAKE IT TO STANFORD. BUT UW HUSKIES SAID HE SHOULD COME THERE FIRST. WE WILL SEE.
