Awesome paddle with da Bush Lady & da Bush Boy. Deer Lake is quite a popular spot for water sports and much quieter than Eagle Lake. We really enjoyed our time here. TFTC
We almost paddled here yesterday, but instead encountered a novice driver trying to launch her huge boat and sideswiped a truck at the launch. We didn't hang around for THAT drama and came back the next day instead.

Unbelieveable views at Restoule Park (and equally unbelievable mosquitos!). It was awesome to get this rare D/T for a virtual which also happened to complete a challenge for me for getting all the T's fizzy.

First paddle of the season for both TheAwesomePenguin and I, and we enjoyed it! It was strange to see all the wildfire smoke blow into the area reducing visibility on the lake to just over 1 km. We relaxed the rest of the day at the Mikisew campground and I went for a refreshing swim!

Another trip to Cedar Rapids, IA and a long drive from Chicago, IL. This was my last cache on my target list for my 4 hour drive. I didn't get here as early as I liked but I wasn't leaving without this cache. There was no roadside parking at the trailhead, but you could drive a rental car into the woods a little bit without anybody taking notice because it was dark! LOL Anyway, it was a fairly nice hike in the dark until I got to the bushwhacking part which was unpleasant due to the thorns I couldn't see - thank goodness I was wearing jeans!

Ah, a getaway weekend with da Bush Lady & da Bush Boy camping at Long Point. I had made a promise no geocaching this weekend and then somebody had to tell me about this awesome virtual I just had to do whilst here. DAMN! I was going to be at half of these locations anyway, so the flesh was weak... just one geocache? 😛 Thanks to da Bush Lady for indulging me... again!

Visiting Sr. Francis today to (not) celebrate her 99th birthday! I thought this challenge was appropriate, haha. Wow, and 2 accidental grids back-to-back days after almost a half year since the prior one, awesome!

Yaaay the warm weather is finally here! First day for some hiking in shorts which isn't always the smartest idea when you're geocaching with DBD! Ticks, pine sap, mosquitos... oh my!
Mother's Day celebrations in Tillsonburg with DaBoiDoge and working on the 250km chain challenge.

Visiting Saskatoon for the CUTA conference! Officially for a speaking engagement, but unofficially to visit Saskatchewan for the first time and grab some target caches while here, including the oldest in the province! Fun trip and came home covered in dusty dirt which is literally everywhere.

Back to Minneapolis again, this time for training. I've lost count how many times I've visited this city across 2 different jobs and 4+ purposes! So not many caches are left, I only got 2 on this trip, and next time I come here, I may come home empty-handed!
