About This Item

My wife, my sister and I are all fans of the "Stargate SG-1" television series (okay, I'm really only a fan of the first 6 seasons, and also of the film upon which the series was based), so when I saw this coin I decided I needed to have one. Most of the best names (Astria Porta, Chappa'ai, etc.) were already taken by other cachers who also owned one of these coins, though, so I had to think a little outside the box. Since I'm also a big fan of "Aqua Teen Hunger Force", this one turned out to be a no-brainer:

"In the Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode 'Universal Remonster', Emory and Oglethorpe use the 'Fargate' (a thinly-disguised copy of the Stargate barely large enough for a person to squeeze through) to steal the Aqua Teens' cable. Oglethorpe insists that it is not based on 'that movie, or the syndicated series based on the movie' (though both agree that the movie and series are good), even adding a wheelchair and a Mohawk to emphasize the fact."
