We arrived at the Tombstone Mountain Campground shortly before midnight. It was a great drive up from Fox Lake Campground -- the weather was great, and road conditions (even on the Dempster Highway) were good. We saw two foxes, a porcupine, many hares, and a grizzly bear, all on the Dempster portion of the drive. We had a nice hike at Five Fingers Rapids, and stopped at Carmacks and the cultural center at Carmacks. We also stopped at the Pelly Crossing and Stewart Crossing settlements.
We woke up to a very warm sun, which had been up for hours and hours. We're far enough north now that the sun "sets" for minutes.
We found this cache after taking a nice nature / adventure hike at the Tombstone Mountain Campground.
