About This Item

This is known as Lapis Lazuli (which means "stone of azure")and is only found in Siberia, Chile and Afghanistan. Afghanistan has the highest quality of it and the largest samples found anywhere in the world. It is deep blue (can vary in shades of blue)in color with small streaks of white in it and streaks of Fools Gold (Iron Pyrite) very unique. It is mentioned in the bible as the stones of the Breast Plate of Justice worn by Aaron and was first mined around 3000 BC. More information is available at (visit link)
