I was browsing through the recent logs of some local caches, when something in this log caught my eye: it said that there was a Wayland pong ball TB in the "Which Way Do We Go?" cache in Berlin. (It wasn't listed in the cache's inventory, though.)
Thinking that maybe some local cachers might need it to help them find some of the Wayland caches, I decided to revisit the cache, retrieve the bug, and return it to Wayland. But when I got there, I saw that the bug was "Son of Pong", and unlike the "King Pong" bug, it contains no helpful information for finding those elusive CNC hides. Still, it did want to go to back to Wayland, so I planned to get it there (although the sense of urgency was now gone).
When I got home to log it, though, I found that the tracking number for "Son of Pong" is the same as that for "King Pong", currently stranded far from home over in the UK. Since that bug is the "real" one, the one with the useful information, I'm not going to log a retrieval for the replacment that I picked up.
So now the question is: what do I do with this ping-pong ball? 😎
