To start her off, Princess_Alex took her to McIntosh Castle in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Set on the ruins of a fortification left from the War of 1812, the imaginatively built castle has an octagonal tower topped with battlements and pleasant windows. It was built by architect John Power between 1849-1852. Today McIntosh Castle is a privately owned residence.
