Current Goal

Hi, I'm Brook the Dragonfly. I'm the symbol of Giles Brook Primary School in Tattenhoe, Milton Keynes, England. I was released into a cache near Giles Brook School and my mission is to travel far and wide and get as far as possible from my starting point. So please help me on my journey. My family and the children of Giles Brook Primary School would love to see photos of the interesting places I've been, or perhaps you could write a bit about about the place you found me or dropped me off. Best wishes Brook the Dragonfly

Update on 02/11/11 - It has been reported that I'm in a cache from which it is no longer possible to retrieve me. If somehow you are magically able to retrieve me, please move me on as per my original mission.

The previous bearer reported that Brook was placed into a cache from which it can no longer be retrieved - something about the MoD building a fence around the site.....
I'm therefore going to grab it back and mark it as "lost"
If you do come across it somehow, please set it back on to its original mission.

Retrieve It from a Cache 8/28/2010 Severnside retrieved it from A5 Drive-By - Fab North Wales, United Kingdom   Visit Log

Hello children of Giles Brook School 😁

We retrieved Brook the Dragonfly travel bug from a cache very near the village with the longest name in Great Britain. it's on Anglesey off the coast of North Wales.

Can you find out first what is the name of the village and then what this name means in English ❔

The picture shows the suspension bridge at the Menai Straits.

We will move Brook on, but first want to take her to see the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol and probably the SS Great Britain too. Both were designed by one of our heroes - Isambard Kingdom Brunel - a great engineer of the Victorian era

Good luck 😉

  • Brook in front of Menai Suspension Bridge Who designed this suspension bridge over the Menai Straits, separating Anglesey (Ynys Mon) from the rest of north Wales?
