About This Item

Double Agent would like to hear your adventures before you pass him to the next cache. Record a short note or story and then help him get to his true goal; making his way back to home in Louisiana. Double Agent wants to travel the world, collecting lots of recorded message and then return home to drop off the messages and then start another journey.

It was a serious rescue today as I had to dig deep in the snow to find this one. The cache it was in will soon be completely lost for the season. What a great idea for a cache! I will move it along again soon!

Put a new tape in the agent before I dropped it off but it was doing the same as the last one (jerky tape motion) which makes any recording hard to understand. Anyway the two old tapes are included in the ziplock with the bug.

Calm and overcast at 0°C today. Still no snow on the ground.

I've had the agent inside overnight to make sure it's warm and dry but the playback of the present tape is all garbled. Fast forwarded and rewound the tape a couple of times but it doesn't seem to help. My attempts to record a message have the same results. Checked the batteries with a multimeter and they appear to be fine. I believe the humidity and subfreezing temps have damaged the tape.

Anyway I'll have a look around mt town and see if I can find a new tape.

Picked up the agent while doing a maintenace check on my cache which was very full. Will place it in another cache in the area soon.
