Took "Cach and Reelease," that has made its way from Portugal over the years to the American River upstream of Sacramento, California, near the fish hatchery at Hazel Avenue (nearer Orangevale and Rancho Cordova, California, than Sacramento). It is a beautiful coin with an Atlantic Salmon theme. My son, UCD-LDA, picked it up in a geocache on the south side of the Millenium Bridge (the "Wobbly Bridge") in London last month. I have taken it from Sonoma, up to Sacramento/Roseville, to the Pasadena area, up to Pismo Beach, back to Sacramento, down to Brentwood, and finally, to the American River depositing it in "THEM." I found this cache a couple years ago during a Sacramento Geocaching and Dining Society sponsored CITO event and thought it fitting.
Thank you to the cotochris for the fun of taking this very nice geocoin around California, and to my son for getting it some mileage.
Note: Although still early-fall, I did not find any rattlesnakes on my walk to the cache or at the cache itself, as at least one person has done. However, be alert as always in this area. See the photos for the geocache, THEM, to see the rattlesnake guarding the cache.
