Picked this TB up with a little help from Foley44. TB is in great shape. I have been to the Air and Space Museum in DC; both of them! Very cool. There are even some virtual caches at the museum on the National Mall. I took the liberty of adding some photos from my trip to the museum. It would be nice if this TB can make it there some day.
Currently, it is in central Florida. I may be heading to the cost in a few weeks (July 5th). Perhaps I can get it closer to Kennedy Space Center then.

  • Spaceship One This is inside the museum on the National Mall! The first private spacecraft to go in orbit and return to earth. In the background is the X-15 and the Spirit of St. Louis!
  • SR-71 Blackbird Now this is a mean motor scooter. From LA to DC in 2 hours and 5 minutes! This is at the museum outside of downtown DC at the airport. Also a must see.
  • WW II aircraft Another of the many planes on discplay at the Air and Space museum.
  • Space Shuttle Enterprise Also at the A and S Museum. Notice the tiles missing off the front of the left wing. These tiles were removed to help determine what happened to the Columbia shuttle when it was lost on reentry over Texas.
