Lonely Puffin

[FIN] Tämä yksinäinen Lunni eksyi Islannista ja se haluaa nähdä muita lintulajeja sekä lajitovereitaan  Suomessa,  Ruotsissa ja Norjassa. Se haluaa majailla myös lähellä lintutorneja.  Ethän vie sitä pois edellä mainituista maista.

[ENG] This lonely Puffin was lost from Iceland. It wants to meet other bird species and other puffins in Finland, Sweden and Norway. She also wants to visit towers built for birdwatchers.  Please, do not take it away from this countries.

[FIN] Aamu sarasti Islannissa auringonsäteiden heijastuessa jääpaloihin Vatnajökullilla. Hyvin utelias Lunni oli joka aamuisella tutkimuslennollaan ja tänään hän päätti tehdä vähän pitemmän retken emon lukuisista varoituksista huolimatta. Lunni kaarteli ilmassa ja nautti jokaisen auringonsäteen tuomasta lämmöstä. Mutta yhtäkkiä kuului kova pamaus ja tämän jälkeen kaikki pimeni pienen lunnin ympärillä. Pimeys tuntui hyvin kuumalta ja haisi hyvin etovalta. Pienen hetken jälkeen lunni tajusi sen olevan kuin lunta, mutta sen väri oli todella outo ja pimeydessä se yritti räpiköidä eteenpäin, mutta voimakkaat ilmavirtaukset olivat liikaa pienelle lunnin alulle ja se joutui armotta niiden vietäväksi. Lopulta monien tuntien jälkeen uupunut lunni pääsi ulos pimeydestä ja laskeutui korkean sekä oudon tornin huipulle, jossa olivat ihmeelliset vaihtuvat keltavihreät valot. Ympärillä näkyi molemmin puolin isot järvet ja alta kuului ihmeellisiä ääniä. Aivan kuin lokit olisivat kirkuneet mutta se ei kuulunut lokeille. Ääni kuulosti silti aika tutulta, aivan kuin niiden kaksijalkaisten olioiden, jotka eivät osaa lentää. Lunni lepäsi hetken ja nousi sitten uudelleen siivilleen. Paikka näytti hyvin oudolta ja hetken liitelyn jälkeen se laskeutui kyltille, josta tämän kertomuksen lukija pystyi tavaamaan; 'Särkänniemi'. Tämä iso maailma näytti pienen lunnin silmissä hyvin houkuttelevalta ja äkkiä se tunsi palavan intohimon lähteä sitä tutkimaan tarkemmin. Pian kuului kavahdus, kun siivet oikenivat lentoasentoon ja lunni ponkaisi itsensä lentoon kadoten horisonttiin vannoen palaavansa vielä jonakin päivänä takaisin tähän outoon valotorniin.

[ENG] It was dawning in the Iceland and sun rays mirrored beautifully from the ice blocks in the Vatnajökull glacier. Very curious puffin was on her daily morning investigation flight and today she decided to do a bit longer trip despite of the numerous warnings of her puffin mother. Puffin wandered in the air and enjoyed every bit of warmth the sun rays brought. But suddenly there was huge explosion and everyting went black around the helpless puffin. The darkness felt very hot and the smell was disgusting. After a while the puffin figured out it was like snowing but the colour was very strange. She tried to struggle forward in the darkness, but strong airflows were too much for the small puffin child and was taken away by the merciless winds. At last, after many long hours, the puffin got away from the darkness and landed on top of the strange tower with miraculous and changing yellow and green lights. There were two big lakes in the both sides, which big she has never seen before. She heard strange voices from below, like seagulls screaming, but those were not seagulls.The voice still was familiar in some way, just like the creature´s with two legs, without wings and unable to fly. The puffin rested a moment and then she spread her wings and jumped in the air. The place looked very strange overall and after gliding a moment she landed on the sign with letters and which the reader of this story would understand; "Särkänniemi". This big world looked like very attractive in the eyes of the small puffin and suddenly she felt a burning desire to go investigating it. That moment the puffin spread her wings and kicked herself in the air and faded in the horizon. When flying, the puffin swore that someday she will be back to that mysterious tower of lights again.
