About This Item

Freddy's Giraffe at Mercury's in Stone Town

I bought this Giraffe Keyring whilst on Honeymoon with KRISTTIM in Zanzibar, We had spent a few days on Safari in Selous Game Reserve on mainland Tanzania and the Giraffe gives us fond memories of the animals that we saw there.

At the end of the Honeymoon we visited Stone Town, the historic capital of Zanzibar. One of the interesting facts about Stone Town is that it is Freddy Mercury's birth place and he lived there until he was 8 years old before going to Boarding School in India.

The photo shows the TB in Mercury's, a nice local restaurant, named after Freddy, where we spent the last night on our honeymoon.

According to a log on my Preston Pennyfarthing cache, this trackable was picked up by "the Cartwrights" in February 2011 And I can confirm after a maintenance visit to the cache today that the bug is definitely not in there any more Unfortunately "the Cartwrights" have never logged their visit to the cache online, or logged the bug retrieval, so I'm marking the travel bug as Missing so it doesn't show in the inventory for this cache any more I hope the trackable comes back into circulation soon!
