Airman John has been in retirement way too long. He got a desk job (actually a desk drawer job) a long time ago and has not seen the light of day since. Airman John's new, continuing mission is to travel the world, visiting caches on or near Air Force bases and NASA facilities along the way.
His ULTIMATE goal is to travel OUT of this world to the ISS cache, GC1BE91. To reach his ultimate goal, he has been strapped into his own specialized capsule complete with a life support system, computerized navigation system and a cool viewing portal.
All Systems Go!
I joined the Air Force in September of 1986. Three months later at Christmas, my parents gave me this "Airman John" action figure as gag gift to go along with my new rank of Airman. I kept him with me over the next 10 years as I traveled the world from base to base. He has spent the majority of the last 15 years in a box or drawer not doing much of anything. Now it's time for him to travel the world again ... maybe beyond!
