Help Scouts from Indian Waters Council Troop 45 in Orangeburg, SC move this pinewood derby Travel Bug® across the nation and into as many Scout and non-Scout hands as possible. This is the first ever nationwide pinewood derby race, and we want to cross the finish line! Prizes will be awarded for cars that travel the farthest, pass through the most hands, and have the most creative route, among others. Help us speed along by moving this Travel Bug.     Found this derby car while hiking the trails near Minder Park in Redding, CA. Our group of kiddos was excited for the find. We brought it home and will work on finding it a new location! Stay tuned....

    Our friends handed this trackable off to us to log and replace in a new cache. My husband is a Boy Scout scoutmaster and my son is a scout so they thought it perfect to pass off through another scout family before being put back into circulation. Right now it is in Redding, California!

    Found this guy while going for a hike behind the children's hospital in San Francisco. I am an eagle scout and my son was working his way through the ranks until we had to put that on hold until he gets better. He won several pinewood derby races with his cars as a cub scout and we had a lot of fun with it. Were very happy to have a role in this cars journey and will be taking it up to northern California to his scout troop before sending it on its way. sorry for the late log
