The goal of this TB is to travel from cache to cache finding
geocachers that
are willing to share their stories about their geocaching adventures or misadventures!
CONGRATS TO Twinx Two ON THE FTF ON MY NEW TB. Thx for the chuckle, hope nothing was hurt
but his pride!
This truck was the swag I got out of a cache from the
following misadventure:
My brothers and I were spending the day doing multi and puzzle caches having a
great day when we came to the final leg of a cache hunt and I punched in the coords to
locate the cache but unknown to us because of finger slippage I put in a 2 instead of a 3
in the coords and we spent over an hour lost in the woods miles from where we should have
been. Only after getting stuck once again in some brush too thick to get through that we
desided to give up and take a dnf. We got back to the truck tired, scratched up, dirty, and
me getting a hitchhiker ( a tick in my side which I had to go to the doctor to have
removed, which by the way she said it was the biggest she had ever seen, oh lucky me,
LOL.) Out of frustration I check the coords and found out my mistake (oh btw don't tell
Gov. Worf as I am still trying to make him think he told me the wrong number, evil grin.)
We punched in the right coords and went right too it.
Moral of the story, it ain't no big thang as we still had a great day together
enjoying the game we have grown to love! OK real moral of the story is to double check the
coords before walking into woods that just do not look right from the start!! And there
are not any bad times when your geocaching with your family.
OK THAT'S OUR STORY. WHAT'S ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE TIMES GEOCACHING?!

This little truck has lost one of its wheels, so it had to stop one cache before the Mt Catherine summit cache. I gave it a tow to the top, but I couldn't fix the missing tire.

I grabbed this truck out of a cache near the ape caves. I will visit it to the cache I grabbed it from and then take it down the road. Nothing ever goes wrong when i'm out geo-caching;) but I used to drive an auto transport truck and vowed to never pass up an "auto themed" travel bug. With that job it was just one thing after another going wrong and this little truck reminds me of some of the auction freight we had to haul. Lifted, a wheel has fallen off, probably out of gas and a dead battery too. I'll find a safe place for it down the road.
