Did some geocaching around LAX airport today. Unfortunately urban caches are usually pretty small and none were big enough for AmeriBear to stay in. He will continue to adventure in CA for now.

Had another awesome adventure today in Santa Monica! Walked out on the pier, window shopped the 3rd street promenade and ate all you can eat tacos. I think he might gain some weight on this trip!

Experienced 90 degree heat today in California, quite a difference from last week in Maine! Drove from Tulare to Los Angeles, stopped for a photo next to a palm tree just south of Bakersfield with the foothills in the background. Ate Ribs and Pulled Pork at a delicious BBQ joint in Venice Beach which was featured on the Food Network's "Diner's, Drive Ins and Dives." By the time we made it to the beach it was already dark, but AmeriBear still wanted to stick his feet in the sand.

AmeriBear made the long trip from Boston to California today. Flew from Boston to Chicago, Chicago to Los Angeles and Los Angeles to Fresno and drove from Fresno to Tulare. He was pretty sure he had a celebrity sighting on the Chicago to Los Angeles flight: singer, Natasha Bedingfield. He is going to rest up tonight and tomorrow as he will be taking a week long trip to the LA area on Monday.
