About This Item

The tracking number for this item was originally my "10 YEARS OF GEOCACHING" Geocoin that I acquired from the SLAGA 10 year celebration. I couldn’t bear to part with it (plus it’s too shiny, it wouldn’t last long out there). So I made a tribute of my own to travel bugs. This resin cast of a trilobite was made by a friend of mine. A Trilobite is an extinct marine arthropod, so any that you see now have been long fossilized. It’s neat looking critter, and if you don’t know much about fossils like this I would suggest doing a little research on the topic. Many fossils can be found all over America. You would be surprised how much of North America used to be under the ocean. Have fun caching!

    Found in Higginsville. I'm excited to be the first to sends this cool trilobite off on its long journey. I have always been a rock & fossil hound. l'll try to take a pic with it & some of my collection.
