Current Goal

Killer Whales are found in every ocean in the world! This killer whale was released at Geowoodstock 8. It was dropped in one of the TB bins and will be sent around the world. Move this TB quickly, and take it to far away places. Lots of photos please of all of the great places it travels. Let's see which Killer Whale travels over 10,000 miles! Will it be LO7?

Thanks for moving it along!

About This Item

Orca Pod Race Team Before Launch

This killer whale is named LO7 - for LovOrca 7. It is one of 12 Killer whales released at Geowoodstock 8, in Seattle, WA. Seattle and the surrounding waters in the San Juan Islands are home to three local pods of killer whales, J Pod, L Pod and K Pod. They live in the southern area of the San Juan Islands. Killer whales are beautiful to see in the wild! Hope you have a chance to do that some day.

Found it and going to send it on it's way.

Thought this was as pretty a place as I picked it up out on Catalina Island. Different kinda beauty though. Left it in a cache on a "rails to trails" path known as the Virginia Creeper. I've heard it's one of the best of it's type in the country. Sorry, but the local water ways are a little small for orcas (real ones anyway). 🎱

  • On the Virginia Creeper Trail on a great day
Grab It (Not from a Cache) 7/15/2014 RagtopDriver grabbed it   Visit Log

It's not where scholar-n-skier placed it. I found it on Catalina Island, California. I'll relocate it to someplace far away and get it back in sink (I hope) with the logs.

Well, it's not in Washington. Found it in a cache on Catalina Island. "A gutter runs through it" GC4H5AZ. Will relocate far away.

Cool find on an easy weekend hike :) Plan to take Orca to Grand Canyon next weekend. Fingers crossed their are some good caches there. If not, maybe Catalina Island.
