We are in a contest in math class to see whose travel bug will travel the furthest by June 1, 2011. Please help me win by taking me all over this country.
Math wise we have reviewed measures of central tendency with the mileage the bugs have traveled thus far. The students found the mean, median, mode and range of the 22 bugs we have released so far. As of 10/18/2010 our classes bugs have traveled....
a mean distance of 371 miles
a median distance of 330 miles
a range of 544 miles
a mode of 330 miles
As of 3/14/2011 our classes bugs have traveled:
A mean distance of 857.87 miles
A median distance of 447 miles
A mode of 330 miles (two travel bugs disappeared)
A range of 2983 miles.
Assignment for March 18, 2011:
1. If your travel bug is new please write down a mission and give information about the class project.
2. If your cache is being held by a person write them an email asking them to move it soon. Be nice and have me read the email before you send it (this is my personal email address and don't won't people tracking me down in the woods!).
