Rescue Pups Travel Bug Dog Tag

To make people more aware of animal abuse and animal sanctuaries/ humane societies/shelters!

This my little way of fighting against animal abuse!!

AND NOW, THE RESCUE PUPS!!!!

Rescue Pup #1 -- Lindsey Buckingham -- Black and White male Border Collie --I adopted Lindsey from the humane society it was his second time being there as a stray! He was 11 months old when I adopted him in Jan '07. He can be a bit of a doofus but he is a total love and whenever I am/other people are not feeling good or having a bad mood he is the first one to give me/you a kiss and a hug to try and cheer me/you up!!!

Rescue Pup #2 -- Kyanne Pepper -- Black and White female Border Collie -- I rescued Kyanne from the side of the road where she was literally being beaten by her previous owner! I saw a man pick up something over his head throw it on the ground and start hitting it and kick it. All of this was happening right in front of me as I was heading home. As I got closer I realized it was a dog that he was beating! I immediatly pulled over and started yelling at this man for beating the dog. In the end he picked Kyanne up, took the leash off and literally threw her at me and continued walking as if nothing had just happened!!!

Rescue Pup #3 -- Sage -- Red and White Border Collie -- Sage was taken to an animal sanctuary at 6 months old on July 3, 2009. On July 5 she was running in the dog yard getting to final do what B.C.'s were ment to do herd. Another dog took offense to her and attacked her, and then all the other dogs that were running in the dog yard attacked her too! Sage was born deaf so maybe if she could have heard the warnings from the other dog it would never have happened. In the dog fight her femoral artery was torn and she was bleeding to death. The amazing doctors at animal emergency were able to stablize her but a week later due to gangrene, she ended up having to lose her leg. So now she is a deaf tripod but unless I mention it most people dont even notice she is missing a leg!

Rescue Pup #4 -- Bodie -- Ridgeless Rhodesian Ridgeback -- We rescued Bodie from an animal rescue farm from being euthanized because she supposedly started a dog fight. Bodie thinks she is an alfa dog but doesn't know how to be one. You see the problem with Bodie is she plays way to rough and when she is repramanded (by another dog) for it she lashes out thinking that they are attacking her. I have to say Bodie is the best family dog I have ever had, she has never knocked/ran over my 2 year old because of getting to rambunctious. Where w/ the B.C.'s I have had to pick her up and brush her off many a times!!!
