Current Goal

To travel to destinations associated with the cowboy, picking up memorabilia as it goes. We started it out with a keychain from Wyoming with the state symbol cowboy on it. Please post pictures and stories to the archive for the bug, we had so much fun in Wyoming going to rodeos and learning about the cowboy we wanted to pass it on. Remember, there are lots of cowboys in many states (including Hawaii) so take the bug wherever you go.

About This Item

Road Trips for Families

We started this bug's travels in Idaho, as we drove by ranches and through the mountains. Part of the Salmon-Sawtooth drive (www.drivethetop10.com), there's lots to see and photograph along the way. Read about our visit to Idaho at www.roadtripsforfamilies.com. Add your comments and info about your trip to the area in the comments section. We placed this travel bug as part of our road trip to drive all the Top 10 Scenic Drives in the Northern Rockies. You can read about our trip here -- www.roadtripsforfamilies.com. We found a nice big cache in the back of someone’s property that was very safe for bugs. A neighbor doggy barked hello to us.

This is another historic stop along the Route 66, because here is the home and diner of “The Mother of The Mother Road!” Lucille and her husband lived in this road for years with a little gas and food. After a while they added a 5 room motel in the back for the weary travelers.
