The group of IT and library professionals that bring you the LCI Challenge Coin care deeply about education. We would love for this travel bug challenge coin to visit educational settings, and share the good word of "Leading Change". Please share pictures and your stories!
The LCI Challenge Coin was started by the 2016 Leading Change Institute (LCI) Cohort. The Leading Change Institute brings together librarians, information technologists, and others who seek to further develop their skills for the benefit of higher education. In the summer of 2016, 37 individuals participated in a week-long professional development opportunity to grow as a community, tackle big problems, and further develop our knowledge and skills to be leaders in the area of library and information technology at our own institutions of higher ed and beyond.
We challenged ourselves, at the end of the week, to continue to "Cast a Wider Net" through outreach, professional communities, and impact. One of our members developed a "Challenge Coin" for us as a reminder of our amazing time together which also serves as a bit of fun as we reconnect at professional conferences. We each now bring our coins with us to conferences and it has helped create a lasting bond of our collegiality and friendship.
