    Well, looks like I won't be traveling more easterly for a while, so I'll let this guy settle here in a convenient hotel and hope he finds someone headed in that direction. We shall see where he is carried!

    This travel tag came with me on a four-hour hike to a first-to-find cache. I thought to leave it there, but it might be some time before someone else stops by. So I think we'll look for a slightly more frequently visited cache.

    So of course I needed to return here to check whether I might have left this tag at this cache site. Sure enough, there it was on the ground, glistening in the sunlight, right where I was sitting two days ago. Looks like I had this on my lap while I attended to the cache and simply forgot it was there when I stood up. Note to self: this is what can happen when you deploy a travel tag unattached to even a slightly bulkier object. Good thing I came back!

    I found a benchmark for Bland Mountain right by the lookout tower, so I took a photo of it with this tag. Now, I know this could be just any old geocaching travel-bug tag, but really, guys, I'm not going to photograph the side with the Tracking Code. Nice try, though.

    Not only did I take this unattached tag to Bland Mountain, I may have left it there inadvertently. I took two trackables but was planning to leave only one. The hike to the lookout tower, however, left me tired and perhaps somewhat inattentive, so as I left the other trackable in the cache, I may not have realized that this one was entangled in it. I'll betcha that's what happened. All I know is, when I got home, this one wasn't in my pocket.

    Now, I may head back to the lookout-tower cache in a day or so to check; it's not too far away, and now I know how to get there. But if anyone else finds it there first and grabs it, please think kindly of me.
