Retrieve It from a Cache 8/17/2011 gnome#4 retrieved it from Doggie Bowl Washington   Visit Log

I am about to embark on a long story. I am actually "logging" this in on May 09, 2012. Last August, I had just learned about Munzies and started playing the game. It didn't last long, but that's besides the point. When I went to the Doggie Bowl cache, it was an ammo can locked to the railing. I noticed a number of these travel bugs in the cache, each with a "Munzie" type barcode. I must have tried it in the Munzie app and gotten nothing because I sure didn't get the travel bug page popping up. You see, I didn't even realize they were travel tags. I had never pulled it out of the plastic envelope. The nice HQ side was all I saw. At some point in our vacation, this must have slipped under the seat of the geomobile. This evening, we took it to the local car wash to give it a good vacuum. The Ladygnome found it. I was drawing a blank as to where it came from. Then I discovered that it was trackable and I was really stumped. I was half excited, hoping that I somehow had gotten my hands on an unactivated item. My heart sunk when I had seen the date of the last log and the lack of mileage it has gotten. What's worse was when I realize that it was all my fault. I should be banished to the Geocaching Hall of Shame. Well, it's up in British Columbia now. Since it has been in the geomobile the whole time, I can actually dip it into some park and grabs. Maybe I can redeem myself.
