I've brought Beaver back to Missouri. Didn't realize he had been here before until I read the log. I will load some pictures when I get the chance.

    • Willi and Beaver say hello Top of Strogh Canyon Nature Area. Willi is checking into Just Friends cache, Beaver is checking out.
    • View of Burbank CA to south
    • View to the north
    • Beaver gets ready to set sail Here is Beaver at the dock in Erie PA by the U.S. Brig Niagara www.brigniagara.org. Beaver is getting ready to board for a sailing adventure
    • Beaver and cannons Beaver and Flip rest on a cannon on the dock at the Erie Maritime Museum. The museum and the ship interpret the war of 1812 and the battle of Lake Erie in 1813. Ever hear of Oliver Hazard Perry? The fleet under his command was built and based here in Erie PA
    • Aloft on the foremast Beaver and Flip are on the foremast fighting top and are looking out on downtown Cleveland
    • looking down to deck Same vantage point as the last picture only now looking down to see how the deck looks from aloft
    • Rock and Roll Beaver and Flip get the complete tour of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. They will be able to tell the whole story when they get home, including who is Michael Jackson's tailor
    • Freighter Beaver watches a passing freighter on the Detroit River heading north toward Lake Huron
    • Tall Ships on the Saginaw Beaver and Flip on the drawbridge over the Saginaw river in Bay City Michigan viewing the gathering of Tall ships. The Niagara is the tallest.
    • Pina colada Beaver and Flip share a frozen pina colada on the deck of the Tiki Lounge on the Saginaw River just down stream from the tall ships.
    • A little reinactment in Green Bay Beaver rides on the shoulder of a war of 1812 reinactor. This gentleman was in the uniform of an English leutennant. He is thus the enemy to the U.S. Brig Niagara. He liked hanging out with us anyway. On Sunday morning a big storm came through with 60 mile per hour winds and totally wrecked their encampent and we didn't see them anymore. I was soaked to the skin tying on extra dock lines trying to make sure the ship stayed at the dock.
    • Sailing to Chicago Finally a picture under way
    • Hold on tight Same vantage point as the last picture, the maintop crosstrees.
    • The main topmast crosstrees This is the spot the previous two pictures were taken from
    • Chicago Here Beaver and Flip are back on dry land in Chicago at the Tall Ships Chicago celebration. Niagara is in the background on the Chicago river

OK, finally the Beaver and I are parting ways. We had an enjoyable time together but it's time to move on. I've included a picture of the Verdugo mountains and Beaver so you can see where it is now. Thanks for the opportunity to take part.

OK, so it's been a while and I thought I would check in to let you know that I haven't lost the Beaver. I am working on the road right now and so the Beaver has had the privilege of traveling with me around the country. We have been to Myrtle Beach SC, Pittsburgh PA, and are currently in Minneapolis MN. With my schedule I won't be able to get out and go caching until January when I return to Burbank CA. So it looks like the Beaver is heading to the west coast, a long way from home.

Went to this cache to get a Jeep travel bug and ended up with a beaver. Still pretty stoked as this is my first travel bug. I am on my way to SC and will take it with me. Although, I just read that the beaver is from back east so maybe I'll take it west with me when I return to CA. We'll see...
