Current Goal

To travel from cache to cache, but eventually crossing the ocean and reaching a cache on the Mediterranean, the origin of commerce. If you can help it across the Atlantic, please do! Otherwise feel free to take it to your next cache destination. Any pictures of the ring on its journey added to your log entries would be fantastic. Tracking number is on the back of the 10year coin attached to the ring.

About This Item

The Ring of Commerce

Attached to the trackable is my father's University of Alberta commerce graduation ring, from his graduation class of '67. He would love to see it reach a cache on the Mediterranean, which is where commerce began. The ring has obvious sentimental value, and I commend my father for trusting the caching community with it and this mission.

This trackable was dropped off in a Canada Parks cache on Pender Island that does not allow tradables or trackables, so it was removed by Parks Canada. While visiting there I happened to mention that I was a geocacher, and the Parks Canada employee asked if I wouldn't mind taking the trackable to move along. I took it and will drop it into another cache soon.
