Join us in the Canadian Badlands for Western Canada's Baddest Mega Event - July 16, 2011, Three Hills, Alberta. As part of the Best of the Bad Mega Event, we have Jeremy Irish (co-founder of Groundspeak) attending, a new Canadian version of the GPS Adventures Maze, as well as many satellite events that will showcase the unique area and of course some fantastic geocaching, with routes being developed especially for the event.

The Canadian Badlands in Alberta are home to the world's most extensive dinosaur bone beds, badlands and hoodoos, and a world-class museum that shelters a 75 million-year-old legacy. The region is rich in culturally and historically significant sites that tell the story of the First Nations people and early settlers, and a complex and diverse modern society that is still deeply rooted in the spirit of the frontier.

This coin wanted its photo taken with the Sundial Bridge. We actually had this coin a couple of months ago when we had no plans to go north and released it for others to try. Then, strangely, we picked it up again in another cache. Since we now had plans for a drive north through Redding, we made the short detour to the Bridge, took the coin's photo, and left the coin in a cache with a view of the bridge. Mission accomplished!

We are likely heading north near the Sundial Bridge in Redding, so we'll see if we can get a photo.
