To travel the world via geocaches, to visit places you want to share or highlight, all in an effort to accumulate a traveled distance of 40 075.017 km before returning to one of Ulka's Geocaches in Sørumsand.
For those who want a photo-mission; Take a photo of the geocoin with something round you can see in your surroundings. Obviously it would be very fun to see some of the places the geocoin gets to visit – Any photos would be greatly appreciated!..
This geocoin is a gimbal mounted construction consisting of 4 parts movable against each other in 3 dimensions. It were designed in honor of the 10th anniversary of Geocaching (on the 3rd of May 2010). I received this coin as a gift from CecilieS on the 17th of August 2010.
The distance mentioned in the mission statement (forty thousand and seventy five point zero seventeen kilometers), is the Earths equatorial circumference according to the World Geodetic System model (WGS 84).
Ulka's Geocaches, as mentioned in the current mission statement, is a small series of geocacehs in Sørumsand (Akershus, Norway). They were made to honor a very special dog after she left us to start her training to become a guide dog. The five caches in the series are Ulka's Portal, Ulka's Blindvei, Ulka's Utflukt, Ulka's Undring and Ulka's Utfordring (a mystery/bonus cache).
If you write a log entry when dropping of this coin and if you have the time, I would be very grateful if you copy the log entry (from the cache) to the (empty) log entry automatically created for the geocoin. (You could/should also vote for Groundspeak to make this an automatic option when dropping off a geocoin/trackable).
