This is a GC&P August 2010 geocoin club issue - featuring the recycling symbol.
My workplace helped the State of Alaska research converting all of Alaska's road signs to a base substrate of recycled aluminum. As a result of this effort, all aluminum used in manufacturing Alaska Highway signs has been made from recycled aluminum since 2007. Recycled aluminum is indistinguishable from 'virgin' stock aluminum, and is 'made' at a 95% savings in energy and air pollution. When you see an Alaska Dept of Transportation highway sign made after 2007, you're seeing a significant example of effective recycling at work! (Alaska's highway signs have a date of installation sticker on their back - anything dated after 2007 is a recycled aluminum product!)
