Current Goal

This coin is a homage to Dr. G., who is a scientist on the field of planet formation. He will spend his post-doctoral years in Kobe, Japan and hopefully returns to Germany at some time.

This geocoin's mission is to travel to Kobe, Japan (preferably to GCWBB8  or GCX38K) before Janaury 2013 and to see all the places Dr. G. loved to see, before.

I ask you to help the coin travel to Kennedy Space Center, to a Whisky distillery in Scotland, to the Alps and to Corsica, and finally to Japan for Dr. G.

I already took the coin to see places he enjoys and posted photos, please post pictures with the coin as well!

About This Item

Coin @ Physics Department

The coin is a Geocacher's star 2009. This is the year in which Dr. G. finished his PhD thesis before he left us for Kobe, Japan, where he went on studying the formation of planets. As the coin shows the Geocacher's star in the Hipparcos catalogue, I am very happy that one of the first scientific talks of Dr. G. was about cataloging stars by Hipparcos. :D
