In July 2010, 200 of these Munch geocoins were minted and distributed to the geocaching employees at 38 Studios (www.38Studios.com) and later another 300 were minted. Munch has been the mascot of 38 Studios since the very beginning of the company appearing on Frisbees, tattoos, signs, t-shirts, caps and more. He obtained his hat and hand grenade when he was put onto a patch and distributed to American soldiers in Iraq by Curt Schilling. Recently he has picked up a GPS and is ready to explore the world geocaching.
This Munch geocoin was given to 8ManAfter, a friend of 38 Studios, as a bon voyage present as he heads off on his travels.
