To travel around to places that dogs would like. Parks, campgrounds, fishing lakes, would be great. Please do not keep but take good care of him while you have him. Rub his soft ears often he likes that. He also likes to take rides especialy in trucks but make sure he can see out.
Dutch would have been 15 years old in the spring and will be missed by many. He was a very loyal and lovable dog. Not a day goes by that I don't look at his mat in the corner of the garage and wish he was still here. Dutch came to us when he was about 4 or 5 month old. When my son came through the door, Dustin was about 8 at that time, looked him eye to eye and said is that mine with a big grin. As they both got older they were pretty good friends but Dutch was best friends with my husband Mike. He always wanted to go everywhere with him and usually did if he was able to take him. one time when we took him camping I had him in my car and Mike was following me Dutch and his head sticking out of the window, Mike called me and said "hey lady there's a bear in your car." At age four we though we were going to lose him when he had a seizure. Turned out he had heart worm. The vet came out and patted Mike on the head and said i would never take a boy away from his dog. We dealt with seizures for many years but he lived for ten more. We started giving him a peroxide solution called oxy-gen a few years ago that all but stopped them. In 2002 We brought home a little addition in the form of a black cockier spaniel named Leo. Dutch was very gentle with him and the where best buddies most of the time. Dutch was very good with children. Any one that came in the yard was his and he had to protect them. One time a little girl stepped out of her daddy's car and he walked around the door and licked her right across the face. A small stuffed German Shepard with a red collar and tags. Has a tag with his name and tracking number on it and also has his actual license from this year that I was not able to put on his collar.
