About This Item

Moose meat in Mason Jars has been sent all over the world to Newfoundlanders who are living and working away from home; craving a meal of bottled moose. A popular saying in Newfoundland is "Got to get me Moose boy!" We hope this travel bug will bring a smile to any of those who find it.

Retrieved it today. This is the second bug I catch in this short time which is from canada. It was a hard work to retreive it, because the last cache was intended to search with a mountain bike. But the weather is cold and snowy so I hiked the whole way. So I missed daylight and the night was overcoming me. Gladfully I had a penlight. So I found the big box with the bug inside. He waited so long so I decided to take him with me and find a new cache for him. But it will not be easy because of the size. I'll look forward and find a box big enough. Not this year but next year instead. Happy New Year from Nuremberg. Chris

  • Tourtrack Here you can see what distances I walked estim. 8km. On the right side of the pictures there was all over old quarries. This area was the quarry (limestone) for the historic buildings of Nuremberg in Germany.

Besides the landscape around here is very pristine the cache container was quite spacious. So Mason declared this place his new home. We hope that Mason will have a nice trip!

Although the location was very nice Mason had to stay with me as there was not enough room in this small cache.

We decided to leave Mason at the "Wichtelhäuser", but he was afraid of the Wichtel. Therefore we take Mason with us again and try to drop him of in another cache!

  • Mason at the Wichtelhäuser
  • Mason the storyteller We finally managed to take a photo of mason and just a few of the members of Europes largest moose herde. All gathered around a small campfire and Mason starts to tell about hs travels all over the world...
