This TB is from Sweden and it's a very common Swedish traffic warning sign, "Warning for elks/ moose".
There are about 300 000-400 000 elks in Sweden and although we try to prevent traffic accidents with elks by putting up fence along roads it still occur 5 000 car accidents with elks every year. An adult elk is about 160-210 cm (=63-83 inches or 5-7 feet) high (at withers) and weight 300-500 kg (=660-1100 lb) so a car accident with an elk can be serious.
