Blue Devil Travels

I am a Gate City Blue Devil and always will be.  While I wasn't the best student and at times got into some trouble, I appreciate the years I spent at my high school.  Gate City is a small southern Virginia town with an elementary, middle, and high school.  Sports are a big part of Gate City (not that I played any) and football is king.  In fact, state football championship titles are held for 1970, 1974, 1997, 2003 and 2010.  Looking back on it, pep rallies held on Friday mornings were one of the best parts of high school and the whole school was a buzz getting ready for the game that evening.

Now that I am out of school, many of my friends have moved on and are out of the area, but I still live nearby.  While I never will get to travel as much as I would like, hopefully this little travel bug can.

grabbed TB from GC2M53N in North Augusta, SC on 10/21/11 which was placed there on 9/21/11 but it is still showing in the NCMAG Fall Event 2011. I'm going to West Virginia tonight and will hopefully drop this little blue devil off. About my high school experience, I was an army brat that went to about four different high schools. Thank goodness we didn't move in my senior year. I played softball and our team of girls made it to State Championships for the first time for the school! Go Falcons!!!

My first travel bug retrieval, hope I am doing it right. Bought it to North Augusta, SC and placed it near North Augusta High School. Placed in Raiders of the Lost Ark, 2M53N. The owner of that cache has two children in the school. The football team,The Yellow Jackets are so far undefeated this year.
Incidentally, the CO , The Green Lion, has the most imaginative, creative and clever caches that I have ever seen. If you are ever in the area you must check them out.
