About This Item

John and the Gang

Hi I'm John and I'm six.  I want my travel bug to travel a lot all over the world.  I will be watching my bee move on the computer map.  If you take a picture that would be cool.  Move my bee all over.  In the year 2020 please start to send it back to Washington State.  Thanks!

Posting a few pictures from the trip. Might include some questions ...

  • London Bridge in, uh, London World famous London Bridge. I go to London about twice a year for work and stay in a hotel near here. It is a beautiful bridge and the nearby Tower of London is full of history.
  • Near Cache in Shanghai The cache was in a beautiful park that we had to pay 10 RMB (Chinese currency) per person for admission. After finding the cache, we visited this beautiful field of flowers and admired the natural sculptures.

  • Sydney Opera House from the Water
  • Fort Dearborn in Sydney Harbor This was an important spot in the early history of Australia. While it was a prison in the early days, it is now it is a spot for scenic brunches and parties. The only way to reach it is by boat.
  • Where Is Luigi Now? OK, this is a little puzzle. In this picture you'll see Sydney Opera House in the foreground and Sydney Harbor Bridge behind it. Given that alignment, look on a map of Sydney and figure out what prominent park this picture was taken from.

Travels in London around the London Bridge area (south side of the Thames).

  • Shard They have nick-names for prominent buildings in London (one is called the "Stealth Bomber") but this one is called "the Shard." Luigi Bee has now been there!
  • London Double Decker Bus
  • Borough Market with a Friend Visiting Borough Market with another trackable friend. Amazing open-air market similar to a farmer's market but with more permanent restaurants mixed in. Great place to visit, stroll, people watch and especially EAT!
  • London Bridge Romans built the first bridge across the Thames river in this area in AD 50. Now these bridges are a prominent feature of London's geography.
  • City of London Entering "the City" While London covers a vast area, the part that locals refer to as "the City" is a small district that houses the financial community. These markers stand at the entrance to that area.
  • Tower Bridge The Tower of London has a storied and, sometimes upsetting past! The Tower Bridge however is one of the most elaborate and interesting structures to cross the Thames. Luigi enjoyed the view!
