I maintain records on my trackables. They have the goal to circulate more than five years and to be moved by at least 25 cachers. That is a target rate of five drops per year for five years, or a drop every 73 days. The average drop rate of my trackables in the US is 124 days, in Europe it is 71 days. As of 30-May-24 this trackable had survived for 12.4 years and had been moved by 70 cachers, for an average drop every 65 days, or 5.7 drops per year.
Please keep it moving, then drop it in a safe place!
No permission is needed to leave the U.S. While in the U.S., please drop it at an event, in a Premium Member only OR a rural cache near a busy trail or road. Do not place it in an urban, non-premium cache. Transport the bug in the original plastic bag for as long as the bag lasts; the bag keeps the trackable clean and dry, protects the number and prevents tangling with other items. Otherwise, take the trackable anywhere you wish.
One of the real bargains in Europe is the public transportation, particularly for visitors. One can typically purchase passes like this one for specific periods, like 1, 3 or 7 days, at reduced rates. In many places we have traveled, the transportation passes may include trains, subways, buses, trams, cable cars, lifts, funiculars and boats. In Zurich we got around on subways and trains. On our last day there we rode one of the boats that hauls commuters to stops around Lake Zurich.

While on our Plan-B getaway; Laura and I changed up our plans and are instead Next we moved to the city Olomouc, where we stopped for lunch and about a 90 minute walk throughout the town. We visited many Waymarks and a handful of ALs, but also a few caches. On our way to the big geo-pilgrimage to the oldest of Czech caches, Tex-Czech, we walked around the main square and made a few stops, during which we also took this TB to this geocache. Glad we were able to come here together and visit this cache!

Next we moved to the city Olomouc, where we stopped for lunch and about a 90 minute walk throughout the town. We visited many Waymarks and a handful of ALs, but also a few caches. On our way to the big geo-pilgrimage to the oldest of Czech caches, Tex-Czech, we walked around the main square and next stopped at the tourist information center, where we left one of our friendly TBs, and picked up another. Glad to have visited, and a little sobering farewell to a TB we’ve had with us for long!

This has been a big dream of mine for the past few years and with our Plan-B holiday among us, things are finally turning towards making this a reality. While in this part of the country, we still had this TB with the plan of saying goodbye in this region of the country.
We were on the road and as we were traveling to our first stop along the way, we stopped in this town for a few quick pit stops and to visit some more geocaches! Glad to show this TB another place in this country!

I don’t think that I ever expected real live cockroaches crawling on my hands while retrieving a geocache; but this was a pretty fun one..!
