Chris the trainee St Christopher

March 2012 - Chris the teenaged trainee St Christopher isn't really ready for a life of selfless service yet. He has become tired of helping other people with their travels and wishes instead for all of you to help him on his travels around the world. So, he wants to see the world and, if he can, collect photos of all the places he visits.

Update January 2023

Well, after nearly 10 years travelling throughout Europe and over 30,000 Miles, Chris the Trainee was burned out with all the stress of modern life; being a trainee monk isn't all bare feet and wooden staff any more, too much waiting for late transport and trying to find a decent 4G signal to keep in touch with his superiors by email, facebook, insta and so on.

So, he spent the next two years without a 4G signal, safely locked away from the outside world (and the pandemic), in the Prima Scoala Romaneasca in Brasov, Romania, on a meditation retreat. Two years of meditation and reading the historic texts archived there have made him older and wiser and he is on his way again with the aim of spreading a message of peace, calm and happiness to all travellers.

Now (Jan 2023), his appearance has changed somewhat (don't we all between the ages of 16 and 26), but thanks to TrashMammalClara's help, we can upload a new photo of him, with a fetching blue background.

Not so much a trainee now, more of a 'senior monk', still with a goal of collecting photos of all the places he visits.

So, please take Chris to lots of new caches, so he can see more of the world, and please upload photos of anywhere he visits.
