Geocaching MB-Mission Accomplished Geocoin

The Geocaching Merit Badge is one of the new merit badges that was approved in 2011.

The goal of this trackable is to promote one of the Boy Scout Values. We chose "respect for others". This ideal is central to geocaching, also. As cachers, we ask permission prior to hiding a cache, place caches where other cachers can enjoy the area they are in, and not destroy the area surrounding the cache. Geocaching's CITO (Cache In, Trash Out) is comparable to the "Leave No Trace" code of Boy Scouts.

Looks like you've gone quite the distance in 10 years!! I wonder how many of the scouts who sent this out into the wide world continue to check in on it. Let me know if you're out there! My own Girl Scout troop sent out a trackable which ended up in a cache that went missing. I'm always impressed to find a trackable which has avoided any mishap of the sort.
