This morning I visited the cache ‘White Mountain Light House ‘ (GCPY19) and I dropped the trackable ‘Shiny Fiete’s 1# TB’ (TB4D2E0) in the cache.
At 02:59 PM , I became a log : SCStroller had already grabbed the trackable !
Before you can "grab" the trackable correctly, you have to check whether it has already been "dropped" or "left behind" in the cache. Not every geocacher can immediately log online. When you "grab" a trackable that has not yet been logged as "dropped", the geocacher who dropped it, can no longer log and actually does not have anything on the trackable page.
If you find a trackable that is not yet in the inventory of the cache, you wait with logging (if you take it with you). If this takes too long, you can always send an email to the last geocacher who owned him.
But actually you "grab" not a trackable from a geocache !!!
A trackable that you get from a geocache, you log correctly with a "retrieve from cache" log. "Grabbing" is used when a trackable has been transferred from geocacher to geocacher.
So I have to grab the trackable first and then drop it.
Afterwards you can retrieve the trackable.
