Die GSA bietet seit 2011 EarthCache Discovery Awards. Hier geht es wirklich nur um das Besuchen, es müssen keine eigenen Earthcaches erstellt werden. Die Einstiegshürde finde ich mit 50 schon recht ordentlich, die Diamand-Grenze mit 1000 fast utopisch. Hat man das Formular ausgefüllt, kriegt man das jeweilige Logo zugemailt und kann es ins Profil einfügen, nicht mehr, nicht weniger. Der GSA-Store bietet die Logos jeweils als trackbaren Coin für 4,99$ an.
Setzt nun also der Massenansturm auf die Earthcaches ein? Wer weiß, für Profilverschönerung nehmen viele Cacher ja doch einiges auf sich.
