About This Item

Checkmate!

Such a simple game, and yet such a complex one as well.  I have always enjoyed games, and at one point i felt i had to get serious about life and pick only one game to play.  I chose chess. 

Since then i have gotten a lot easier on myself, but i still love a good game of chess wherever or whenever i can find one.

tom&geri lent this nifty travel bug so that we could take it down to Columbia to the SC State Scholastic Chess Tournament (3/23/2013). We didn't go caching there, so there was no way to "dip" it for mileage, and though there were no nifty chess pieces, there was a room full of 70+ chessboards all set up, so we snapped a picture of the coin there, a short while before competition began.

Now, if I can just figure out how to add an image to a "discovered it" log.
